Having a bit of a rough end to the year. For about a month, every now and then I get what sounds like coil whine at an inconsistent pitch but am not 100% sure if it's my gtx1080, psu or TV.
My display sometimes has flickering lines when turning pc on maybe once a week, goes after a minute, never happens any other time.
I also get random black screens that sorted themselves out in a minute or so, till now.
I still have my music or game sounds coming through whenever it happens, so I can only think it's monitor/psu/GPU.
I've switched HDMI cable, power cycled the TV, tried the motherboard hdmi slot, no change. I have no display for changing volume or input on the TV, just stays black.
Please don't say it's the GPU, I might have to replace a motorcycle stolen last week and I don't think I can face the GPU market after... 😑
