Hi everyone,
I bought an Asus GTX 770 DirectCU II to upgrade my GT 240, which worked well. The first time I ran a game with the GTX 770 plugged in and after about 15-20 minutes, the screen went black, but not the black when the monitor is off, it is a black with some light. If I quit the game and leave it in the desktop for about 10 minutes and then back to the game, I can still playing for some hours, but it is tedious, and after some time I always forget to quit and the black screen comes back. Then I have to restart or hold the power button to shut it off. After making some tests, I think the problem is the graphic card because I plugged it in another pc and same thing happened, and before that the other pc worked well.
What I've tried:
- Flashing the BIOS.
- Increasing GPU fan speed with evga precision.
- Formatting the HD twice. (Windows 7 and Windows 10)
- Play games with and without Nvidia Geforce Experience driver.
- Checking BIOS settings. (There's nothing about graphic cards)
- Trying another monitor and another HDMI cable.
- The event viewer just says the system restarted unexpectedly.
- I Stopped the Desktop Window Manager Session Manager because I didn't know what else to do.

I thought about using DVI cable instead of HDMI, but before buying I prefer to be sure.

SPECS:
-Asus GTX 770 DirectCU II OC 4 Gb
-Motherboard Gigabyte GA-P55-US3L
-Intel Core i7 870
-PSU tacens mars gaming MPII 650W (It is also tested with an Antec High current gaming 850W and the same happens)

ANY IDEAS???

Thanks in advance.

Thanks a lot for the advise!! I don't even have had to make overvoltage, I just have activated the KBOOST mode on EVGA Precision and it worked!! Now I've been gaming for 3 hours without any problem.
It looked like the card didn't reach the appropriate voltage at high load.

Sounds good.
