Hello guys i ll start by saying that i don t have a lot of experience with bios s and psu s.
I recently flashed my gtx 1080 ti to a bunch of different bioses to see which would work better regarding tdp temps etc with my evga sc2 hybrid.
Everything worked fine bios after bios i think i tried around like 4 different bioses and i had no problems at all.
Anyways, i wanted to go back to the def one so i could compare the results in game bsc i forgot to do that in the first place.
I used nvflash the latest version and everytime i needed the followimg commands
nvflash --protectoff
nvflash -6 myromname.rom
everything was fine until i tried going stock again. When i turned off the write protection using the command my pc froze and my screen went black with the cursor in the middle .
I didn t know what else to do so i shutted down the unit using the psu button.
Since then when i turn the pc on i get the cpu debug led on the mb and i get no image.
I tried to re flash my gpu using another one to get an image and it worked but the same day i did all of that i took the secondary gpu out, put mine back and the story repeated itself, the same black screen and cpu debug led telling me the cpu is causing the problem, but this time it happened after i tweaked my usual nvidia settings.
I tried to plug in just the secondary gpu and sometimes it s booting up just like it normally should and sometimes i get the same black screen debug led like my 1080 ti gets.
The second gpu used is gtx 1070 ti perfectly working.
My specs
Ryzen 5 3600
Evga GTX 1080 ti SC2 Hybrid
sec gpu Asus rog strix gtx 1070 ti
16 gb ddr4 ram adata xpg
Psu Evga P6 750W 80% plat rated

reset motherboard bios

anything else altered in this system while doing the flashes?
might also be a coincidence caused by the age of the system

BIOS of motherboard up to date?
i already reset the bios multiple times that s not the problem
i don t think that anything else could cause this especially out of nowhere
i thought it could be the cpu s age or the silicone could eventually fail after all these years.
I can t say for sure if the bios is up to date but i ve never had a problem in 2 years with this version until now
