Hello, straight to the point, while gaming or just stressing GPU, the screen turns black and I had to do hard reset.
Specs:
MB: Asrock Z97 Extreme 4
CPU: i7-4790k (I did not overclock)
PSU: NZXT C650
GPU: Asus GTX 970
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB
Firstly it started happening while gaming and the PC would restart. I had old PSU (CoolerMaster RS-600) and I noticed also whining or hissing noise so I thought it will be the PSU. I got my hands on the NZXT one and after launching games or Furmark, the screen went black, no restart and no response.
What I tried:

What I tried:
- No events in Event Viewer, only that the shutdown was unexpected
- Running with 1 RAM
- Different RAM
- i5-4460 on the motherboard
- Different PCIE slots
- Plugging in the PCIE power
- Reseating everything
- Updating BIOS and drivers
- Running everything outside the case
- Using old ASUS B85M motherboard
When I swapped everything to the B85M motherboard, there was no crash, no black screen.
Although, I know that it is probably faulty motherboard, is there something else I could try?
If not, is it okay to run i7-4790 on the B85M motherboard?
