Benq ex3203r 1440p144hz hdr freesync 2

1070 ti (yep, new 417.71 driver, g-sync compatible, totally could be a problem)

19 pin displayport cable

1440p144hz goes flawlessly, bandwidth is not a problem here.

Screen goes blank for 1-2 sec when fps goes below 50 fps mark

monitor support 48-144hz freesync range, seems related.

What can be done to debug this problem atm?

or i just need to wait for another driver from nvidia to roll?

Solution
Got it. I set up minimum bar for Freesync to kick in to 40 instead of default 24 hz, and it's work like a charm now.

Utility called CRU got the job done.

Solved.

Unfortunately, that's a potential flaw in the "GSync compatible" implementation. There's varying degrees of success. Some are perfectly fine, others have odd glitches and, unfortunately, drivers are probably not going to fully rectify a lot of the issues out there.

With G-Sync disabled, I assume the issue does not persist?

Either reduce settings to ensure you stay >48FPS minimum range for Freesync/G-sync or disable G-Sync for now.
A future driver *might* fix the issue, or that may be a limitation of the panel used.

yep, no problems with gsync disabled. screen tearing is not so big of a deal on 144hz panels, but still, neat feature.

lowering resolution, hertz, minimum bar of freesync to kick in is not helping.

black screens happening way a lot.

seems like only hope is updated driver.

Yeah... Even then, I wouldn't expect it to be 'fixed' fully, unfortunately.
While G-Sync 'compatible' sounds great, there's not too many where it just 'works' without any flaws.

Lowering in-game settings to ensure your minimums don't drop <50FPS doesn't help?

in some games. fifa 19 for example, 1-2 black screens for 1-2sec in a 1 hour session.
