Hi guys, I've recently installed a R9 270 and as I start my computer the monitor receive no signal. Here's my computer originally http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2544811 and I have no idea what to do. When I plug back my GTX 650 it works perfectly fine and I've tried changing settings in bios and I am left with no choice on what to do. I've disable on board GPU, enable pcie in bios and everything. HELP PLEASE 🙁

well I looked around on that gateway [and funny gateway never showed up] but 1 thing is see as with others like you is the computer ships with 3 sticks of ram.. now see I find this odd to me as why 3 sticks ?? you got 4 slots and as with most system builders with a board with 4 slots you tend to use 1 stick 2 sticks or 4 sticks so why just 3 ?? this kinda goes back to what I said about the bios fix and that trick . also I assume you put a psu in that got the power to run things 300w is too low. also that gtx650 may have been just the card to fly under there radar on that computer... like I say to the others that these computer company's don't sell these for you to upgrade as you want they want to sell there computers and...
you don't get it?? those computers mostly are fixed so you cant do certin upgrades those two links I posted kinda spells that out ... there fixed so you don't do things that may cause damage to there computer to protect them from undue warranty claims and returns there sold to work as built out of there box with there parts not aftermarket parts so now your informed and I hope you get it going, but there it is for you to know. good luck

cant say you need to ask gateway but one thing we did learn was with gateway it was tied to the memory on this one guys we found that if he pulled one of the sticks from the board the card would work but if he put the stick back in it would not don't remember witch stick he had to remove from witch slot on the board but it got him going sounds crazy but its a true story in the end we found that there was a total memory limit imposed on the board and the cards memory went over the limit by removing one stick it worked so does tha amd card got the 3 gb and the gtx got 2?

I realy feel for you with this but theres 100's of guys with these dell hp gateway type computers that are just stuck with a nice new part and cant get it installed its sad but true.... but if I see hear anything that may help you I will post it to you but ....

now you can do a mother board swap and use the parts you got in that case like this hp I now got here it took a m-atx board so I ordered a m-atx board that was compatible with the chip that's on the hp removed the hp board put the new one in the hp case and a new 600w psu hooked all the parts up loaded a fresh copy oem windows and run it and I don't worry about upgrades with it cause this board is now open and hp's ''fixed'' motherboard is in the trash. so if you get going and fond a trick or reason it did not work pass it along for the next guy..
