Ever since I bought my R9 270 2 years ago, I've had the problem where I was unable to get any video feedback and the fans would just spin fast.
At the time, I (think) I resolved it by plugging a dvi to vga cable on my tv that only supports hdmi and vga, I launched windows and installed the amd drivers, plugged the hdmi cable and from then on I was able to use the gpu normally, with one exception, I was still unable to see anything before windows loaded, once windows loaded the fans would stop spinning like crazy and the computer would function normally, I could not access UEFI or anything because I was unable to see it, now I am unable to do the same because I can't find said cable.
Also it wasn't a matter of no signal, the tv recognized a signal (showing 1080p 60hz when I turned on the PC) it was just the card not displaying anything until windows loaded.
Fast forward to now, I just updated to Windows 10 and as I feared the card shows the same symptoms from day 1, no video feedback (I can hear windows loading) because there are no drivers for it in 10, right now I'm using the integrated graphics on my I5 4670 (which has always worked and is able to display the BIOS and anything before windows loads), I've been gaming for two years now with this GPU with no problems, so I'm led to doubt it's an hardware problem.
Because I am unable to display anything until windows loads, that is until now since I can't see anything at all, I had to update to windows 10 with my GPU unplugged using the integrated graphics, I was wondering, is there any way for me to install the AMD drivers without having the card plugged in? I should mention the BIOS is already set to prefer PEG over IGD, secure boot and fast boot are disabled.
