I recently upgraded to windows 8.1 from a clean slate of windows 7. Whenever I am inactive long enough for my pc to sleep (about 20 minutes I have it set to) I try to wake it up again and there is just a black screen. My only solution to fixing this is by unplugging and replugging the DVI cable. I have all new windows updates and all of the latest drivers for everything including my mobo so that is not the problem. It just seems that the cable needs to be replugged in every time I try to wake it up from sleep. I've never had this problem before when I had Windows 7 and it's just starting since I installed Windows 8.1. Any solutions?
