Question Black screen

Hello. I just got a brand new laptop today. A 3060 aorus 16gb ram 500gb ssd. I tried to play games on it today but it was too stuttery and laggy. I looked up solutions and it said up date drivers. I updated the graphic drivers and shortly after the screen froze when I started a game. I waited for a while then eventually had to restart the computer. Now the laptop turns on but the screen stays black. Never comes on nor gets lit. Keyboard lights are on and fans are running. What can I do to fix this. Really frustrating
