Black screen

i have black screen i cannot do anything on my pc i have downloaded solutions off my laptop to put on my pc i cannot see anything on pc so cannot click on allow to make changes to my pc can anybody help it is all gud n well that microsoft are investigating what do i do in the mean time

hook up to a HDTV via HDMI or VGA possibly? Try different monitor? Can you view the boot screen at all? and possibly get into safe mode?

sounds like a bad connection to, or just a bad monitor that no longer works
