When playing 3D games (older, low intensity games) after a few minutes, my screen gets overtaken by black (or sometimes colored) squares. Happens in multiple games. Latest drivers, BIOS, etc., all installed.

Fur-mark runs just fine, with occasional tearing, but no black box issue. CPU stress test seems to run fine as well.

Machine is a Dell XPS 15 9500

so have to assume it uses the 1650 ti in the games - thats its purpose after all.

its not really an overlay is it, as if top pictures black area is an example, its showing character details but not showing other parts behind them . is the top shot showing a map?

I don't see anything in shot 2?

where did you get GPU drivers from?

It is a top down view of terrain. Certain pop up GUI elements show above the squares. In shot 2 the squares are yellow (top right quarter of the screen), they have also appeared in red.

Drivers are direct from Nvidia.

I have done a clean reinstall with DDU, haven't reseated the GPU as it's a laptop. Unfortunately the closest Microcenter is several hundred miles away.
