I am looking for a camera on a tight budget. What are the differences between the two, and is the extra $600-750ish worth it? Thanks!
The 4k isnt a big deal. I make indie films. 4k would be nice for post, but not a necessity. I think the more important thing right now would be the larger sensor. What are you going to use the camera for? Do you need 4k?
My thing however is new it is $300, but used it is astronomically cheaper. However, the 4k one isnt old enough to have cheap used ones. The size difference doesn't bother me, both are a lot smaller than what I used to use, so I'm happy. Would you say the difference is worth about $800ish?According to the BM site, the price difference is around $300. For that, I would likely go with the 4k for the additional capabilities. Note the differences in physical size/dimensions and how that affect how you use.
Small screen. Putting it on the internet and such.Nope. Not worth that much difference. My daughter has filmed with the non-4k version. With the right lenses, she really liked it.
How do you intend to playback? What venue type? Small screen? Big screen?
