Blank desktop

MY DESKTOP IS BLANK!!! BUT IF I START TASK MANAGER AND RUN
EXPLORER.EXE then desktop comes again!!! but again wen i restart it becomes blank,
how to make my desktop stay permenannt? somebody help ???

alrite thanks a lot dude !!
but wen i start task manager and type explorer.exe i get the desktop again !!! anyway will run antivirus

is this a genuine copy of windows,because the first thing they take away is the desktop!
