Hi all,

I am working with an HP B2600 Workstation with HP-UX 11 - Unix installed .
When I rebooted the station nothing appears on the monitor (remains blank) and message on the LCD console of the station is "consol is SER_1". Before, the common message use to be "consol is Graph1". What can I do to reactivate again the Graphic console and see information again on the monitor?
Thanks,

Seems like the default console has been changed from the screen to the serial port of the computer.
If you connect a serial cable to the port, you can connect to the console using putty, or similar. This will also allow you to access the settings and set the default console back to the screen.

However, a BIOS reset may also accomplish the same thing, although that will also wipe all other settings in the BIOS.

Hi,
Thank you to all for feedback.
Finally, I connected to the console using serial interface and traditional Hyper terminal. I identify that actually all PCI boards chassy (where VGA resides), for some reason which I'm still investigating, does not communicate with the motherboard, that's why system could not activate graphic interface and it switched to serial interface.

Actual post I can consider it as closed.
