Hello Guys,
For the last one month I am unable to play any game. Every time a game is started (from Steam or Origin), my monitor turns blank with white, pink, purple or light blue color and I must restart my PC.
This happens when the actual game is started and I am about to begin to move.
I tried with several game - the result is the same - after 3 seconds to 5 minutes, the screens turns blank.
The issue can be reproduced in 100 % of the cases. I tried with fresh installation of Windows 7, Windows 10 1709, Windows 10 1803, Windows 10 1809.
The issue can be reproduced on any monitor via HDMI & Display Port.
I do not remember what was the version of the driver, when there wasn't problem.
My PC spend 3 days in diagnostic service where all hardware parts were tested. The only thing that had to be replaced was fault RAM. After the - the problem is still the same.
I do not know what else to try. The only thing that I did not tried was to install driver version 380.*, which is 1 year old driver.
Here is quick info of my rig:
CPU: Intel I7-2600
RAM: 16GB DDR3 (reduced to 12GB)
HDD: 120GB SSD + 2 TB HDD (5400)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 TI G1
Motherboard: Intel DP678BG (updated BIOS)
Do you have an idea what could be the problem, what how can I detect what is the reason for this malfunction?
UPDATE: I tried with nVidia driver versions 388.71, 391.35 and all after 391.
Next step to try are - swapping memory slots + memory diagnostic myself and changing the GPU power cable.
Wish me luck
Thanks in advance.
