Hey all,

I'm using Blender 2.77a and I've set My Compute Device to OpenCL: Hawaii (2x) which I assume is using both of my Sapphire R9 290X Vapor-X cards which are currently running in crossfire.

It doesn't seem to be rendering much faster than my CPU was (i7-5820k), though that's just at an estimation; I didn't know how to measure something like that.

Is there a way to get a Frames_Rendered/Minute or some sort of measurement to see if the GPUs are indeed rendering faster than my CPU?
Better yet, is there some simpler way to see if my GPUs are running more effectively than my CPU?

Thanks for the help.

**EDIT:** Added "more effectively than my CPU"

Solution
Monitor GPU usage and/or heat, but you can also check the date and time of the image files, then use (last frame time - first frame time) / # of frames. Also check the Stamp options under Output.

Something you also might want to check is that you're using Cycles Render. Anything else, including the VSE, will run on the CPU only.
