I bought a Dell computer that has Windows Vista unfortunately. I have Sims Deluxe 2 that worked on my Windows XP But before I installed it I updated my computer and the patches I have installed it and it does fine up until I create my characters and it totally freezes then I would restart it and does not respond. Should I buy a Sims 2 that is compatible with Vista.

There is no version of games that are compatible with different versions of Windows. If the game is not compatible with a version thats the end of that unless a patch is availabe that adds that feature.

Make sure your drivers are up to date and the game is fully patched.
