Blinking blue light on msi motherboard

Okay I have searched all over and haven’t been able to find a clear solution to this problem:
I just installed a new psu in my rig, corsair cx550m when I turned it on all the fans lit up and spinned and the optical drive works I’m sure everything works but when I plugged it into my monitor via Hdmi on motherboard, nothing no bios no boot nothing.
So I hit the power button all I get is a blue flashing led and nothing else,
I’ve reset the bios every way possible so what do I do???

What are the specs for this system? Especially need to know the model of your motherboard.

No gpu at the moment

Corsair cx550M
Intel haswell pentium G3260
Seagate 128mb ssd
Optical drive
1tb wd blue hdd

Seems to be a common issue, but with little information. It appears to indicate an issue with the BIOS. Did it work properly with the previous PSU? If so, do you still have it and does it work in the system?

Yes but it got fried by esd twice but it work perfectly it was a corsair cx430

Make sure both the 24-pin and 4/8-pin power connectors are fully inserted into the motherboard connections. It very well could be a defective PSU.

I tried made sure of that and reinserted them both still happend

Do you have access to another PSU to test with?

You have either a defective PSU or a possibly defective motherboard. I would suggest trying the PSU first.

I just tried the papeeclip test with a fan and my psu seems to be fine so its most likely the motherboard how do I check if the board is dead....???

You swap in a known good PSU, that would be the easiest way to test.

The paper clip test is not infallible.
