So I used to have a GTX 1070 but it had issue and it's being repaired atm, in the meantime I'm trying to use my onboard graphics but my monitor keeps blinking, it just goes black for like 2-3 seconds and then goes on, as if it turns itself off and on. And it happens ALOT. I tried several driver reinstalls of several versions, but didn't work. Tried different cable, also didn't work.

build:

i7 6700K

MSI Z170A-G43 PLUS

16GB RAM

BenQ XL2430T 24inch @1920*1080,60Hz (hdmi cable/dvi cable)

Windows 10 64-Bit

any help appreciated

Does it still do it with another monitor? If it does the same then all I can really do is suggest getting a cheapo graphics card like a Radeon R7 240 until you can get the 1070 back.

no doesnt look like it. i tried dvi too but didnt work.

EDIT: setting the resolution to 720p seems to be a workaround, but I rather have a fix... My WiiU is able to run at 1080p on this monitor with ease so it's not the monitor...

How does it behave when you don't have the onboard graphics driver installed?

exact same way
