Blinking power LED

This issue is quite silly but its still an issue:

I have two LCDs:
Samsung 2233 BW and
Philips 190c1sb

Thing that SHOULD NOT happend is when I turn off PC attached to any of these monitors LED lamp keeps blinking, forever!

Is there a way to turn this annoying LEDs OFF ?

Do you turn the computer off, or put it on hibernate?

Are the monitor LEDs flashing green or yellow?

Have you tried the monitors on other computers, to see if they still flash?

A small square of black insulating tape might end the annoyance ?

they are flashing:

samsung - blue
phillips - white (which is much better)

there is notihing wrong with my pc or monitors .
they are all new


Problem is in DESIGN

I dont know what designers where thinking . "We will leave this LED flashin just to remember user that his PC is off now" or maybe they think its just COOL to have some LED flahing in the MIDDLE of the night in a bedroom when people are trying to sleep.

You know what I am thinking on opening monitors and look for LED lamp and disconect it somehow.
or
maybe easier to do, I will just use black tape to cover led light and have sleep well

Does anybody have some other oslution ?

Yes fihart I think I will just use the tape

Tape would be the easiest fix.
