Question Blinking Underscore (_) on Startup

Today I unplugged all peripherals from my PC to give it a cleaning. Once I finished and plugged everything back in, I was left with a blinking underscore in the top-left of a black screen. This has happened to me before and I’m not sure how I fixed it , but the situation seems even worse now.

so you only unplugged things from outside of the PC?

have you tried a restart?

Is this a custom made PC or brand name?
if brand name, what make/model?
if custom, do you know motherboard model?

blinking underscore generally means the PC is using the wrong boot method. It can happen on motherboards that support legacy & UEFI boot. It should be easy to fix.

Yes I only unplugged things from the outside.

I have tried multiple restarts.

It is a custom PC with an MSI Z270 Gaming Pro Carbon motherboard.

I do believe the board supports Legacy +UEFI
