I noticed white lines on the edges of my MacBook's screen while watching a YouTube video in full-screen mode. The video content near these lines seems to shift slightly. When I lower the video resolution from 4K to a lower setting, the white lines disappear, but there is still noticeable movement of the content near the screen edges.

I haven’t noticed this issue outside of the web browser. I’m currently watching an HDR video in VLC, and I don’t see the white lines there. I also experimented with different types of YouTube videos and found that SDR videos don’t have this issue— it only seems to occur with HDR videos.

Additionally, when I minimize the video window, the edges of the window move together with the video content, making it seem like the issue is part of the player rather than the screen itself. I also noticed that when I pause the video, the flickering of the white lines stops, and they freeze in place.

What could be causing this?
