[citation][nom]burodsx[/nom]Here's to hoping gold will have value.[/citation]
It will, one of Blizzard's main concern for D3 was to actually have gold as a stable currency. There are a lot of gold sinks in this game, and from wut i've read so far, it seems to be on the order of magnitudes better than D2 in terms of any form of economy. This will be one of the biggest game launches in history, I'm sure Blizzard wont' mess it up ;)

I wouldn't mind them using a copper/silver/gold currency system. In D2 you'd have hundreds of thousands of gold coins, and tbh that is somewhat unrealistic and makes gold seem like dirt.

Having silver worth about triple or four times the value of gold in D2 would be nice, and then have the actual D3 gold worth 10 or 20 times more per coin.

Cabal and Everquest 1 are only two games I've played that use a very simple auction system for selling items in game without having to use shouts and massive tells. To say that held up the game process as if they were inventing something that has not already been in use for years is laughable. They are slow on getting this game out the door because Blizzard has too many hit games now that WoW, Diablo's 1 and 2, and the original Starcraft have received such good reviews. Way to go on making great games but now employ the staff to keep up with the demand! Diablo 3 is taking as long to come out as Duke Nukem Forever or Jumpgate Evolution

Mobs dropping gold after been killed seems not a good idea. Letting them drop items that you can convert them to gold in town make more sense. And the system can has a better control of inflation.

Good to hear.

New trading system and auction house kind of worry me. One of the best things I liked back in diablo 2 was social bartering. Hope they dont cut it out, so the trades and selling turns out like an mmo for the players convenience.

Alice Madness Returns
Battlefield 3
Diablo III

I can't remember ever having so many highly anticipated releases within a 12 month period. I think it's safe to say that all three of these are guaranteed buys for me.

world of diablo 3 craft. diablo 3 isn't a dialbo game at all from what i've seen it looks EXACTLY like WOW and warcraft III. diablo 2 was amazing it's a shame they broke the mold after they made it. all blizzard needed to do was make it just like D2 but with better graphics. i hate that all of blizzards cut scene are terrible now. thanks WOW.

hardcore? lol and you don't LAN?, some people actually enjoy packing up the computer and carting it to a mates for drinks, food and some weekend PC lanning.

[citation][nom]cyberthug[/nom]No point in LAN mode imo..[/citation]
No point in you posting imo...

LAN play is essential for Diablo 3 otherwise myself and my mates can't all chuck a week long sicky to enjoy beer, food and a kick arse Diablo 3 gameplay session, hiding in a house so our wives think we are work muahahahaaa!

Really? I've heard this argument about Starcraft 2 as well. Can't you just used a shared internet connection and play together online?
