BlizzCon 2009: No Diablo III Date, Consoles

To be honest, I'm beginning to lose interest in Diablo 3 and somewhat in StarCraft 2 due to the delays... I feel that I don't care anymore, since there hasn't been any new gameplay or trailers being released to keep me motivated.

^ Don't worry about the delays so much. The good thing is they're making the game better. A working game is more important than meeting deadlines.

well part of my motivation was lost when they got rid of lan only, i still have a few friends without an internet connection making this these games useless to them and anybody at their lan party

ps3 has mouse and keyboard support? for which games?!?!?!?! some of us are stuck on our PC's for the very reason that we suck at FPS's using a controller.

[citation][nom]IronRyan21[/nom]Lets not worry bout dumb consoles, just release the damn thing to PC. FFS![/citation]

Amen.
I didn't just spend 1300 on a i7 to play on a shitty console with either a 7xxx class GPU (PS3) or a crappy IBM tri core (Xbox 360).
Though, Xbox Natal with D3 may be interesting...

Enough already. I am sick of this. I knew all long, just like Duke Nukem Forever, it will never come out. First Star Craft and its stupid 3 title release one after each year and then no Lan. Sorry, i am not sure if every one is with me on this, i WILL not buy anything from Blizzard or rather Activision ever again. 13 years is far to long

Blizzard can release D3 to consoles if they really want... but please worry about that AFTER you've completed the PC edition Blizzard!!!

I'm really starting to hate Blizzard. They're getting really arrogant about releasing things whenever they want, holding it over your head for years. They know every 12 year old kid will still buy the game, so they'll get their money's worth - but every person I know that used to play Blizzard games stopped because of all their meandering to do it their way, despite whatever their customers say they want.

talk is cheap...we'll see what you all end up doing when the game comes out. More likely then not you'll end up buying it, supporting this kind of behavior. The only way Blizzard/Activision is going to change is when they're wallets get hit.

If you say you're not going to buy it, don't. Nothing pisses me off more then when their are a bazillion people complaining about this, and then the first week that the actual game comes out it breaks records on how fast it sells. Let's put a stop to that.

So we wait ten years for a "sequel" and we get a game that has one or two familiar characters, a new art style, less character classes (when you factor in LoD) or just as many (but none of the ones you got to use before), no solid release date, and we get to see a new character every few months when Blizzard wants to sell tickets to its next WoW expansion announcement/nerd costume party? Forget it. I'm not buying Diablo 3, Starcraft 2 (which is going to be a rip off of epic scale), or anything else that comes from ActiBlizzard.

I'm sick of people talking about how they're a great company and they actually take their time with the games they release. Discounting WoW (and I do discount it since it's more of a money pit than a game) when is the last time they released a game that was fun/free to play online/innovative?

So dont buy/play their games. No one is holding a gun to your head.

I am to understand that people would rather have a shit produce out in their own time-line, rather than a working produce that does what the game maker says it will do? Of course, there will be small bugs that anyone better than you will miss, but at least they are attempting to release a quality produce. How many other companies can you say that about?

I have become less interested in Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 due to the forcing of Battle.net use and the fact that LAN play will not be available. I have two homes and at one my only internet option in Verizon Wireless Broadband or dial-up. I have friends that do come over and we do some LAN gaming. A 5 GB limit each month hampers what I can do at this house, so it is stupid that you can only play through the internet.

This is the reason why my second Xbox 360 and PS3 are never online, so this is the reason why I am likely to not purchase these two games. If only LAN support were to be added, or if Blizzard were to promise to add LAN support in the near future, then I would purchase both games.

Let's hope.

Yeah, like Duke Nukem Forever for example!
