I blocked Win 10 auto update by (1) selecting "Never install driver software from Win Update" in Driver Installation Setting, (2) using the "Show/Hide Update" troubleshooter, and (3) setting my Wi-Fi connection as Metered.
So I see only critical updates (not driver) listed at Windows Updates waiting to be downloaded. HOWEVER, after reboot the Window Update shows "failed update entries." Of course, only Win patches and other critical updates are listed as "failed" and consequently the update history is filled with update failures.
Is Windows Update supposed to list failed updates because I blocked auto update??? Or am I doing something wrong? I mean...no update has failed. I haven't installed them on this brand new Win 10 system.
