First off, sorry if this is the less than ideal place to ask, I've been sitting here pondering the best place to ask and decided to just ask here as it's kind of software related?

So I've installed the Ublock adblocker into Edge/Chrome (I'm fine using a "better one" instead, I have no preference).

But I would like to know if there is a way to block the specific ads.
like on Youtube; It will display ads as if they were a video in your sub-box.

Another example is on Reddit they place an ad that is like a user-post.

Are there ways to get these blocked too?

Also, has anyone else noticed that Youtube ads seem to get through adblockers anyway; Is this just an Edge thing?

Try uMatrix on Chrome/Firefox. If even that won't work without breaking the site(You have to allow whitelist individual categories of elements and sites yourself), then probably not.

Can't quite say I can figure out the uMatrix extension.
Also I'm not sure if extensions can get these kind of ads or not, as they're "baked into" the site like normal content.

For example; with reddit I went into uBlock, and selected the element (ad) I wanted to get rid of--and it did!
But when I refresh the page, another ad takes its place as a "promoted post".

For Youtube, sometimes it will block out the ad and just leave dead space in the menu, other times it displays the ad.
