blu-ray playing and burning softwARE

I just installed a 2nd optical drive(pioneer bdr-209bdk)as was suggested on this site.even though I have PowerDVD12 bundled w/my XPS 8700 and the drive came with a TRIAL version of Nero essentials neither one will play blu-ray(you have to upgrade$$$$)Any suggestions for Blu-ray playing&Burning software at a moderate price?

I looked up windvdpro11 on Amazon.it was cheaper there BUT have you seen the Reviews on this?WOW these are the worse reviews I've ever seen seen,Like almost everyone hated it,which makes me very wary of purchasing it.Anyone have opinions on Cyberlink Dvd pro or Nero platinum or any other software for blu-ray playing &Burning etc
