Blue lines across screen

Hi all,
I'm currently having trouble with a build I am completing. As you can see in the photo, my PC has come across an error where blue spots of corruption have appreared on the screen. I thought it was a ram problem, but I've tried removing dimms and nothing has changed, I'm praying that it's a software/driver issue as I am on a tight budget and can't afford to go buying new parts.
(I don't know if this is causing it, but I currently do not have an os installed, and the hard drive I'm using is from an old computer is trying to boot from the original os that was on it, even though everything was erased)

Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 1600x
GPU: MSI HD 7870 (all I had)
8gb ram
MB: Asus Prime B450m-A csm

More than likely either a dying card, or the monitor or cable is bad. COuld be the OS, but doubtful. Do you have a seperate monitor you could try?

I've tried using another monitor however I did use DVI with both monitors, I'm thinking it could possibly be a problem with DVI, but I'm not 100% sure

Thats also possible, do you have any other cables you could try? It could also just be the actual port on the card thats going out

I've tried using an hdmi cord but it won't even show anything on the display using it through hdmi

Edit: so I cleaned down the contacts...
I fixed it!! Thanks for the help
