[SOLVED] Blue screen after changing RAM ?

Hi,

i have an ASRock B450M Pro4. Changed the ram from 4x4 3000mhz to 2x16 3200 MHz.

I got a blue screen with "Unexpected Kernel Mode Trap" error.

After that I changed back to the original RAM. I removed the battery from the pc. I changed to gpu but I only get a blue screen all the time with no text. Also only tried 1 ram card from the original.

What else can I try?

try swapping to the old ram?

Try running memtest86 on each of your ram sticks, one stick at a time, up to 4 passes. Only error count you want is 0, any higher could be cause of the BSOD. Remove/replace ram sticks with errors. Memtest is created as a bootable USB so that you don’t need windows to run it


Updated bios?

Solved: No idea what I did but I just reinstalled Windows 11 and it's working again.
