Is there someway to fix it?

I don't know if it's a typo or not but I can see Athlon x4 870k not Athlon II x4 870k.

If it's an Athlon II: It doesn't show in the compatible list on ASRock website: https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/FM2A88M Extreme4+/#CPU

If it's an Athlon x4: It says it will work with BIOS 2.60 (or higher)

I would also check to see if the CPU heatsink is properly seated. It may be slightly loose causing high temps.

I would also consider cleaning and reapplying a fresh coat of thermal paste. The CPU is several years old and it may have dried out a bit causing high temps.

CPU was on 1 core. Then I changed it to 4 and it started crashing. Reinstalling Windows should restore all settings.
That will NOT fix your isuue if it is a temp problem. I'm sorry but that has about a 1% chance of fixing it. The reason why I voted down your answer is because it would be bad advice for anyone that googles the same issue and ends up in this thread.

What BIOS version are you running?
