[SOLVED] Blue Screen After RAM Upgrade

Had this set up for about 3 years, never had a problem. Yesterday I switched from 8 to 16gb of ram because I was trying to stream and dropping frames in game. I know my set up isn't amazing but I'm only playing League of Legends and not even at max settings. Now gaming or not I'm blue screening periodically. Happened 4 times yesterday randomly performing different tasks.

Set up:
Asus Prime B350-Plus
Ryzen 5 2400G
ASUS Strix 570 4GB

Went from 1 Aegis 8gb 2133 Mhz (F4-2133c15S-8GIS) to 2 Aegis 8gb 3000 Mhz (F4-3000C16D-16GISB).
I did change the profile in the BIOS as well.

Likely your ram is not matched.
Ram is sold in kits for a reason.
A motherboard must manage all the ram using the same specs of voltage, cas and speed.
The internal workings are designed for the capacity of the kit.
Ram from the same vendor and part number can be made up of differing manufacturing components over time.
Some motherboards, particularly ryzen can be very sensitive to this.
This is more difficult when more sticks are involved.

Run memtest86 or memtest86+
They boot from a usb stick and do not use windows.

If you can run a full pass with NO errors, your ram should be ok.

Running several more passes will sometimes uncover an issue, but it takes more time.
Probably not worth it unless you really suspect a ram issue.

I bought the ram as a two pack and replaced the existing ram entirely. The two sticks of ram currently installed came together in 1 sealed package and are identical to each other.
I will try the memtest.

Good, you bought a kit.
What is the exact model number of the kit?
You want to verify that the ram is compatible with the motherboard and cpu combo that you are using.

Your particular kit is not on the list.
If you can return the ram for exchange, pick ram that is explicitly supported.
Or, you might contact g.skil support.

Change the profile to what?
If you have selected xmp change it back to default/auto......test.
