Blue screen and then 1 long beep 3 short

a few days ago i launched a game(far cry 3)and while it was loading a blue screen appeared(it is known as blue screen of death)which was saying "a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to pervert damage to your computer'' and more and i rebooted my system.after 30 seconds i hear 1 long beep and 3 short and the screen was still black.i changed rams and nothing.i also moved my graphic card to another slot and still nothing.anyway,my system specs are
motherboard5n-e sli
graphic card:9800gtx
ram:xms3 4 gb ddr2
psu:cooler master thunder 500w
cpu:q6600
hdd:kingstom 500gb
windows 7 64 bit

1 long and 3 short indicates a bad video card and/or video ram issue. Try reseating the card or moving it to a different pcie slot.

i tried everything.i put a different pair of ram and i reseated the card and NOTHING.iguess i have to buy a new one.

If you can, try the card in a different pc and see if it works before you pop for a new card.

of course i am.i ordered a core i5 4670.8 gbs vengeance ,a ashrock pro4 mobo a 730w thermaltake psu(80plus bronge)and after some time i will buy the r9 280x...Cant wait to see them work together

That should do the trick. Make sure you get low profile ram so you can install an aftermarket cpu cooler.
