Can lack of ram cause this problem, since my system is only running with 2gb at the moment?

Other specs for my system is:

Processor AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+

Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750

Memory 2.1 GB
Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit

Any help is appreciated :) I have new ram of 4gb shipping in mail, but since my mobo is so old, i can only run old memory.. :/

I got MSI K9A2 CF as mobo.

bugcheck code 124 = WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR
this is a bugcheck generated directly by the CPU, most often it indicates a cache memory error inside the cpu.

most often it is cause by incorrect overclocking of the CPU but can be caused by incorrect voltages and clock frequencies being applied to the CPU's pins.

often the "fix" is to update BIOS or reset it to defaults. Sometimes you can get this error when you have a brown out on your power due to the extra load a graphics card draws on a power supply.

sometimes on a older system, the fans get clogged up and the CPU over heats and you get this problem.
(blow the dust out)
sometimes, you get a failure in a power regulation circuit to the CPU (power supply or on the motherboard)

Ok, since I have little knowledge of hardware, could you point out which prosessor to get thats most fast and compatible with my motherboard? In manual it say: AMD Phenom/Athlon/sempron series processors in AM2/AM2+ package. Supports up to 4 pin CPU fan pin-header with fan speed control.

and supported FSB: am2 cpu supports hyper transport 1.0
am2+ cpu supports hyper transport 3.0

thank you already

I would say about 98% of the time there is nothing wrong with the CPU unless it have been overclocked without proper cooling for a long time. Even then you can tell if it is the CPU by checking the memory banks for reported failures in the debugger looking at the memory .dmp file.

I would update the BIOS first, if there is no update available you should toggle a hardware setting and see if you still get the error.
