can anybody suggest me what the problem is? .........is it a hardware or software error? .....

did you remember doing anything to your pc before this happened?
also, did you try updating all the drivers?

no i didnt do anything to my pc. It happened all of a sudden.Sometimes when i try to open some my folders like movies or songs, there is always a problem of the folder not responding . Can this be a threat ?

i don't know, it might be
try running an antivirus scan during safe mode
also, try scanning with these : malwarebytes, spybot, hitman pro
