[SOLVED] Blue screen error

video tdr is your GPU, I could guess you have an AMD GPU?

reinstalling GPU drivers might fix it - https://forums.tomshardware.com/faq...n-install-of-your-video-card-drivers.2402269/

Event 41 is result on a restart, its not the cause.

Can you follow option one on the following link - here - and then do this step below: Small memory dumps - Have Windows Create a Small Memory Dump (Minidump) on BSOD - that creates a file in c windows/minidump after the next BSOD

  1. Open Windows File Explore
  2. Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump
  3. Copy the mini-dump files out onto your Desktop
  4. Do not use Winzip, use the built in facility in Windows
  5. Select those files on your Desktop, right click them and choose 'Send to' - Compressed (zipped) folder
  6. Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive, DropBox . . . etc.)
  7. Then post a link here to the zip file, so we can take a look for you . . .

Hi, I ran the dump file through the debugger and got the following information: https://jsfiddle.net/x17s3uzg/show This link is for anyone wanting to help. You do not have to view it. It is safe to "run the fiddle" as the page asks.

File information:122021-9437-01.dmp (Dec 20 2021 - 16:43:23)
Bugcheck:VIDEO_TDR_ERROR (116)
Driver warnings:*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for nvlddmkm.sys
Probably caused by:nvlddmkm.sys (Process: System)
Uptime:0 Day(s), 13 Hour(s), 38 Min(s), and 49 Sec(s)

Possible Motherboard page: https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-z370-f-gaming-model/
There is a BIOS update available for your system but it's unlikely to be useful in this situation. Wait for additional information before deciding to update or not. Important: Verify that I have linked to the correct motherboard. Updating your BIOS can be risky. Never try it when you might lose power (lightning storms, recent power outages, etc).

This information can be used by others to help you. Someone else will post with more information. Please wait for additional answers. Good luck.

There are newer Nvidia drivers, I know as its told me to update mine this week

I would run ddu and reinstall new drivers from Nvidia, or instead of getting them direct from Nvidia, run windows update after the restart and allow windows to find drivers for the card.

You don't need advanced system care, I would take it off. Does it include a driver updater as those can install the wrong drivers.

Well, after a few days i have come to say that i turned on my pc, crashed after 3 minutes. Got it back up and crashed again, right now there arent any more crashes, but they're still here. Should i send another dump file?

What are specs of the PC?
CPU - i7-8700K
MB - ROG STRIX Z370-F GAMING
RAM - 16gb Corsair ram CMK16GX4M2B3000C15

what else? What GPU? I know its Nvidia but I can't tell what it is.

We knew what was crashing before, the GPU drivers. Just wondering where you got the last drivers from
Cause maybe something else in pc

Cant really check it with other pc, also temps shouldnt be the problem since im getting like 78'C max
But what i've noticed is that the crashes often happen after i start up the pc and open lets say browser, steam, teamspeak etc or when i close a game after playing for longer periods of time, i close the game, around 30 seconds pass and im getting a blue screen. Dont know if it really helps much but thought it could be usefull.
Dont worry bout the slow answer, thanks a lot for the help ^^

Some time ago i had fixed this issue by doing this:

"Right click on windows icon, go to device manager, right click on headset that has that triangle on it, disable it and then enable it. It works with Hyperx Cloud Pro II Gun Metal."

But its not the case anymore.
I have Hyperx Cloud II dont know if you'll look into that direction but i think thats a worthy point.
Thanks a lot again for trying to help me ^^

Just a thought, can you play without headset attached and see if you still get errors?
USB is linked to same chip that controls Video card, so its possible the headset is somehow blocking the video signal and causing the errors

I had a mouse that was messing with my GPU a few years ago but I didn't get any BSOD from it.
