Computer has been throwing BSODs and hard crashes recently
Tried everything, verifier.exe, driver uninstalls, benchmarking from OCCT to 3DMark, nothing works
Ran memtest86 and got a bunch of errors (failed test).
Reseted the RAM and CPU, passed the test 8 hours later.

Got another hard crash, eventually reset the entire computer and reinstalled Windows.
Downloaded the essential drivers (MB drivers, Nvidia drivers) and few games.
Launched Counter Strike, instant bluescreen. This is a red flag on new fresh install of Windows:

Bug code 59
Event 41 Kernel Power
Task Category 63

Eventually I would get looping bluescreens
Starting the computer, posting to windows and then BSOD right when I logged it
It would eventually fail to post at all until I took out 1 stick of ram.

Ran memtest86 twice, both failed. Failed Test Number 1 Failed Test Number 2
Bought brand new sticks of DDR5 ram from BestBuy this afternoon, failed as well.
New Ram Failed test

Could it be a faulty motherboard? CPU? PSU?

CPU: Intel Core i9-12900K
GPU: Nvidia RTX 4070-TS (Ti-Super)
SSD: Samsung 990 Pro M.2 2TB
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws S5 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR5-6000
MBD: Asus PRIME Z790-V AX
PSU: Thermaltake Smart BM3 750 W 80+ Bronze Certified

Issue is this:
PSU: Thermaltake Smart BM3 750 W 80+ Bronze Certified
Why on earth would you cheap out heavily on PSU, when you can afford Core i9 and RTX 4070 Ti Super? :??: Are you that angry over your PC to abuse it such? 🙄

New, good quality PSU is a MUST.
Take your pick: https://hwbusters.com/best_picks/best-atxv3-pcie5-ready-psus-picks-hardware-busters/4/

Super Flower units are solid. So is Seasonic Focus due to great ripple suppression.

As of what your junk of a PSU could have, is high ripple. And high ripple causes system instability.
With that junk powering the PC, i would not dare to power on the PC until new, good/great quality PSU is powering it. Since you're risking with that junk going "pop", releasing magic smoke and frying everything it is connected to (aka your whole fancy PC).

Since PSU powers everything, it is the most important component inside the PC.
Hence why NEVER cheap out on PSU! Also, never buy used PSU either.

Event 41 Kernel power
Power delivery issue. Usually means bad PSU. (Rarely MoBo VRMs or main electricity grid.)

So the PSU is causing the issue?

What about the memtest failure? The bluescreens? The random shut offs.
I bought a brand new pack of DDR5 ram this afternoon and it still failed the memtest86
New Ram Failed test

A couple of friends told me its a failed CPU, I figured I could just replace the motherboard (that normally fixes things).
What could it be?

Memtest failure could be either bad RAM, MoBo VRM issue or dirty power from PSU.

BSoD could be either OS/software corruption, CPU issue or high ripple from PSU.

Random reboots could be either high CPU/GPU temps or poor PSU that can't keep the PC running as it should.

Currently, hardware wise, your "Smart" junk is THE weakest component in the build. And can easily be behind all your issues.

A couple of friends told me its a failed CPU, I figured I could just replace the motherboard (that normally fixes things).
IF your build would be powered by good/great quality PSU, where it is verified that PSU works fine, then, yes, it would be time to look towards other components.

When you can boot to OS, CPU-MoBo-RAM, for the most part, work.

Now, i've seen failing CPUs, that boot to OS, but then spew all different kinds of BSoD. Rather than few specific ones, let alone Kernel Power ID41.
MoBo VRMs (phase count and their cooling), does play a role in system stability. Especially when you OC your CPU. IF issue would be MoBo, only fix is new MoBo (preferably the one with more main VRM phases).
RAM issues usually manifest themselves in software corruption (since data in RAM gets corrupted). Can also manifest in graphical artifacts and in-game stutters.

So, 1st order of business: new good/great quality PSU. Once you have that, then we can go from there.

Look PSU as a foundation of a house. When foundation (PSU) is bad and entire house is sinking/tilting, then it doesn't matter how fancy of a house you have on top of it (CPU, MoBo, RAM, GPU). When foundation is bad, whole house is bad.
