Blue screen MEMORY MANAGEMENT

Hi there,

Recently I have been getting Blue Screens. I have checked the memory and it says there are no errors. I have no clue what else I can do. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, thanks for replying. It is a gigabyte X79-UP4 motherboard. 32 GB memory. Nvidia gtx 760. Intel i7-4770K CPU @ 3.5 GHz

I am pretty sure you can't use a LGA 1150 CPU on a LGA2011 socket motherboard
I am surprised you can even make it boot!

Hi,

Are you sure it is wrong to use this CPU on this motherboard? The lab I work in has at least 8 copmuters with the same set up and only one has failed so far. And all of them have been used to do heavy CPU intensive computations.

The i7 4770k is meant to be used on a socket 1150 motherboard, with compatible chipset like H81, H87, Z87, Z97, etc.
The motherboard you have uses the 2011 socket, with a X79 chipset that is not compatible with the CPU.
Its just confusing to me that you can make it boot and run the OS with incompatible parts.
Memory managements BSOD can be caused by: bad ram modules, wrong settings for the ram in bios, bad overclocking of either CPU or RAM or both and faulty drivers that are allocating resources in already occupied memory.
However the cause comes from ntoskrnl.exe, so I can only rule it out to be CPU and RAM related.
Just by having incompatible pieces of hardware working together the source of the issues can be pointed to that, but if you have more system running without this issue you should check first in the bios, set settings to defaults and run, do a stress test just in case to check if the problem is presented in heavy loads.

I ran memory tests several times and in all cases there were no memory errors. How do I do a stress test?

Oh sorry, I just double checked, the processor is a i7-4820K which has a LGA2011 socket which is the same as the one in the X79-UP4

That makes more sense. There are stress tests like Prime95 or Aida 64's stability test.
