An error while playing a game often is because the game needs a patch.
Since this happens with multiple games, game patches are not the likely cause.

Games will push the graphics cards so if the error only happens with games, there are some possible causes.

1. Your psu is not of sufficient power or is of poor quality.
Gaming puts added stress on the gpu and psu.
If you suspect this, test with a known good psu of sufficient power, that would be 500w.

2. If the error happens after a while, it could be heat related, either from the cpu or gpu.
Take the case covers off and direct a house fan at the innards if you suspect his.

3. A 7700 is not generally overclockable, except via BCLK. Presumably you are not trying that.

4. It is always possible that your GTX1070 is defective. If you can test with a known good card, you can eliminate that possibility.

5. Run memtest86. You should be able to complete a full pass with NO errors.

6. What is your motherboard bios level?
CPU-Z will tell you.
F20 is the supported level for 7700.
Bios flash is a bit risky and I see nothing in later updates that would address your symptoms.
I would not flash on speculation; recovery from a failed flash can be difficult.
