Blue Screen of Death - BAD_POOL_HEADER - PLEASE HELP - Brand New System

So while Playing Left 4 Dead on my Desktop I just upgraded it kept on freezing and blue screening and giving that error. (BAD_POOL_HEADER)

Information.....

Mainboard - Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H
Chipset - AMD 880G
Processor - AMD Phenom II X6 1090T @ 3200 MHz
Physical Memory - OCZ Ram - 8192 MB (2 x 4906 DDR3-SDRAM) @ 1333 MHz
Video Card ATI Radeon HD 4870
Network Card - RTL8168/8111 PCIe Gigabit Ethernet Adappter
Operating System - Window 7 Ultimate Professional 6.01.7600 (x64)
DirectX - Version 11.00

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What did you upgrade - the system or that game? If you get a bad result from installing something new, it's always best to start by undoing that change.[/#000ff]

I agree, do the simple things first.

I upgraded the system. Just got the game to play on the new system. I was leaning towards memory issues as well, let me run MemTest.

Hello yanagfafol,

Sounds like hardware issues, you will need to physically take out the hardware(e.g. sound cards, tv tuner, etc.) just start system with only the bare motherboard, video, ram and hard drive.

Make sure you have the latest drivers, but not beta drivers.

Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located here http://tinyurl.com/9fhdl5 . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to check the threads available there for additional assitance and support.

Davcon is right -- it would be best to run a memory test / scan and also perhaps a chkdsk scan as well.

Had the same Bluescreen.

While memtest did not show any problems, it was still the memory.
Also OCZ (DDR3 Gold Series PC3 10666 - 8GB).

Did try them on two different Mainboards, with the same (BAD_POOL_HEADER) result.
Now with different memory both systems work fine.

Hi, I have a 6 month old Acer Aspire that keeps coming up with BSODs once every so often, usually on first startup. The title is "Bad Pool Header".
Specs are:
Intel i5-480m @ 2.67Ghz
6GB RAM
500GB Hard drive
Intel HD Graphics

Any way in which you could help me resolve these BSODs? (I am using Windows 7)
