Blue screen of death.

Hey guys.
I have had the perfect setup for 2 solid years, and about 3 weeks ago I had to change my GPU: ASUS 970 Turbo OC because of a defect, and brougt in a ASUS strix 1080ti.
Since then I have been having troubles with the blue screen of death.
It occours while gaming, most often after a couple of hours, and when it first begins, it reoccours every 15-30 min or so.

My specs are as follows:
MOBO: ASUS Z170 PRO Gaming
CPU: Intel I5 - 6600K 3.5 ghz
GPU: ASUS strix 1080ti 11GB
RAM: HYPERX FURY DDR4 16GB
PSU: Cooler Master M2 Silent 1000W
SSD: CORSAIR 2x125GB

It has happened in both PUBG and overwatch.

I have wiped my harddrive so that there is no conflict with drivers.

I hope you guys can help me, as I am out of clues.

Remove a stick of RAM and test if you have 2. If the issue remains swap it out with the other stick to test.

This worked like a charm. One of the blocks was faulty.
Funny how this happens while i change another component.

It relates to a fault part that may be causing the blue screen. Its one of the few you have 2 of that can totally remove the chance of those parts being the cause. The likely hood of both being bad is very low so if the issue occurs with each then another part is at fault. This is how we test hardware. If a replacement part fixs the issue you've found the cause.

Post us a picture of the BSOD or what was described on it. If you don't remember or have windows 10 there should be a log file with a dump of the system memory. The location is different for each OS but it's most likely in the system folder, you're looking for a ".dmp" file.

Case closed. 1 block of RAM was faulty.
