Hey everyone. This is my first post but I've read a lot of forums from this site. Anyways, just recently I have been getting a blur screen after using my computer for about a half hour. When it happened it restarted the computer and I signed back in. After using for about 10 minutes it did the same thing. It repeated 2 more times. I looked up and some things and ended up running a bad sectors scan that ended with my computer working fine. I haven't used the computer much after the scan so not sure if blue screen will occur again. Anyone know why I would get this screen? I custom built the computer about 3 months ago and it's been working great. Just recently has this stuff been happening. I have been downloading mods for games and many files for editing but none show up as viruses. I'm confused as to why I got the blue screen and would appreciate any help. Thank you.

If data is stored on the HDD and as sectors fail the data may not be readable and causes the Bluescreens. Please examine your drive SMART and post the finding here for us to evaluate.

If you have any really important, you cant afford to lose it, kind of data on the drive be sure to have it backed up to external devices. DVD's, usb drives.. The more copies, the safer this data is. I do DVD and usb drives.
