Hi Guys

pc keeps crashing on me. Blue screen appears and reads WHEA UNCORRECTABLE ERROR. Doesn't give a code to lookup what the issue might be. Can anyone help me find out the issue?

Thank you

Solution

OK then.
I did not (and almost never) read through the looooong error result.
I prefer the tl-dr version.

This was a prebuilt system? Entirely possible the thermal paste application was sub par.
Especially if "The pc has done it ever since I bought it."
Take it apart, clean and reapply some thermal paste.
See what happens.

If you are able to add or replace more thermal paste, that would help.
Please try some steps available at http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/processors/000005776.html

Thank you for the reply. Tried applying a good quality thermal paste to no effect sadly. Could it be that the Cool Master Liquid Cooler I have isnt enough for the setup? And do you have a liquid cooler which although may be a bit of an overkill, you could recommend?

What leads you to think it is a temperature issue?

What is the temp at the exact time this happens?

Was Arctic Silver 5 paste. Ive minitored tbe cpu temp before and it regularly reaches over 50c even with this new paste. The pc has done it ever since I bought it.. perhaps they were short sighted about the overclocking and the cooler master cooling system. Just seems a bit weird. Tried taking out components and dusting them off too to no avail.

Cooler looks like a cooler master nepton 120 but older version.
