Blue Screen problem

Hey all,

I have built many systems over the years and this is the first one where I'm experiencing problems that I really have no idea about. Im sure it will be something simple that im missing but I think it would be better to get advice from the experts. The event viewer gives this..

I am running a M2N-68-CM motherboard, 7750BE AMD processor, 2x2 dual channel of OCZ titanium, Palit 9800GT and eveything at stock and factory settings. CPU temps running around 50celcius, GPU around 40. If I have missed any important info please ask.
 
Whoops, am running Windows XP SP3, fully updated expect windows desktop search.

edit: 400w Power Supply, Cooler Master 690 Case, 320GB WD HD, 250GB Seagate HD. Everything is new besides the 250GB Seagate, which is a few months old but isn't the primary harddrive.
 
Hmmmm,All those 8digit numbers look like memory errors,maybe try memtest,and or a more powerful psu 400 might be a tad low for that system,that 9800gt can like the 8800gt gobble up to 200+watts when going full out...:)
 


Actually, the 8800GT/9800GT has a TDP of 105w.
If you are running a cheap PSU, it is entirely possible, however, that it can not provide enough power to your GPU.
What is your PSUs brand and +12v amperage?

Is your CPU running 50°C idle or load?
Download Coretemp and double check your idle and load temps.
If it is running 50°C idle, it could be overheating under load.

Also, run Memtest to check your RAM.
Did you make sure your motherboard has properly set the RAM timings and voltage?
It would be better to take it off the factory default and manually lock the RAM voltage and timings.
 
Thanks for your reply, my power supply was my first thought of what the problem is, but using eXtreme Power Supply Calculator, it said max use was around 300W. It is a 420W ISO-500PP, I know that they are bad but it was only $20NZD. CPU is running at 30 but thats after a cold night, will post temp after a few hours of Orthos.

Is there a way to run a memory test through BIOS or through .exe without the use of a CD or floppy?

edit: 40 degrees celcius CPU after a couple of hours without Prime95.
 
Alright, your temps look fine now.

I think you need to change Your PSU very quickly, however.
The few places I found listing it show it to be woefully inadequate for your system.
Not only is it a VERY low end unit, it is only rated for a maximum of 18a on the +12v rail.
Unfortunately, most low end units struggle to output even their rated power and many Fail Before 75% Loaded (and sorry to say it, your unit is cheaper than what is tested in that video...).
I would highly recommend replacing it immediately with a quality 400w+ Corsair, PCP&C, Seasonic, Enermax or Antec Earthwatts PSU.

I am fairly certain your low end PSU is causing all of your issues.
Even if it turns out to not be the main issue, you still need to change it as soon as possible.
