Blue screen saying signal cable disconnected when computer is in sleep/off mode.

As the title says, I bought an LCD/LED recently (benq 2320h) and am using a dvi to hdmi cable and i get a blue screen when I put the computer to sleep or turn it off saying the signal cable is disconnected. Any help ?

Try a DVI/VGA adapter via VGA cable to a VGA port on the monitor.

What ? My videocard supports hdmi, but the cable is dvi to hdmi.. and my screen supports hdmi... Can you be more specific ?

How can I? - you haven't even said what card you got let alone what ports you have available on card and monitor.

Both the gfx card and the display have hdmi ports and dvi... (my gfx also has vga)

Try different ports if the hdmi aren't working

I haven't got any other available cable atm...

My display runs fine.. Only when I put the computer to sleep or turn it off does the blue screen appear, but it disappears after 1 minute... Perhaps it's normal (somewhat).
