Pc runs windows 7.

I normally put the pc mode on sleep when I leave, but today I was in a hurry and forgot. A few hours later when I got home the pc was running but the screen was blank. I pressed the keyboard keys a few times and mouse to make it wake up but it was unresponsive so I forced a reboot with the power switch on the psu.

What I have shown in the youtube video is what I had happen to me many times, I can not boot up and it also happens when I try to boot into safe mode. I have run the auto repair several times and it says it can't fix it. Unfortunately I have not created a safe point to restore to. I paused and filmed it two times over the course of the video, so you see it happen two separate times, not two times in the same boot up.

No hardware changes in over a year and I have had no known software changes in at least a few days (maybe windows updated while I was gone?) I have had no known virus or hacker issues.

I suspect a fresh install will fix this but I am hoping to avoid this and looking for other possible solutions.

Update: I've looked up the blue screen error "Stop 0×0000007A KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR"

Your system bugchecked but you have it set to automatically reboot. Run whocrashed.exe Or bluescreenview.exe. You could also look in the eventlogs to see what the error was. You could put your memory dump on a server and post a link and someone could take a look. Default location for the memory dump is c:\windows\minidump directory.
It will be there if you have not set the system to not save them.

I have run the check disk and a check disk repair based on a YouTube video and the blue screen error has changed from 7a to 7b.

Ok, I ran the disk checker and fixer which changed the error from a 7a to a 7b. Once it was 7b I hit f8 at boot up but safe mode still failed to load the same as I posted int he video. I clicked on last known settings and that got me in, I updated CCleaner, ran it and I used a different antivirus (panda) and ran a full system scan, it took care of 4 items. CCleaner registry cleaner took care of a few items. Upon reboot, it booted to some random colors (it was like seeing vomit on the screen), forced a new reboot to success, and aside from needing to update my graphics drivers to set the screen resolution back to my usual all seems to work now.

generally a kernel data in page error indicates that something could not be read from storage.
Most often something could not be read from your c:\pagefile.sys

this can be due to bugs in the sata drivers, bad connections of your cables to your drive, firmware bugs in SSD, SSD drives that have run out of free space, HDD that are having errors.

you might run crystaldiskinfo.exe and read the smart data out of the drive.

you might turn off the system virtual memory, reboot, delete the hidden c:\pagefile.sys
then turn on the virtual memory to create a new one.

the next time you wipe the drive you might consider doing a full format rather than a quick format of the drive if you have a mechanical HDD. if you have a SSD, check to see if you need to apply a firmware update and make sure you have free space to allow the SSD to do firmware garbage collection. (boot in to BIOS and let the SSD have power but not run windows and it will start to run its internal cleanup routine after being idle for 5 mins)

windows 8.x and above will do repairs on HDD without having to do the full format. (it does it as a background process when the system goes idle)

you will also want to start cmd.exe as an admin and run
sfc.exe /scannow
to help repair any corrupted windows files.
