Blue screen when attempting to System Restore

I have recently started experiencing BSODs soon after booting my computer.
I followed the advice on here and did a clean install of my video card driver, but it hasn't fixed the issue. I have also tried running sfc /scannow as well as chkdsk /f /r.
Furthermore, I've used CCleaner to scan my registry, as well as deleting a swath of unused programs.
However, my computer still BSODs soon after booting, and BSOD instantly when I attempt to do a system restore or even see available restore points. The error is "system thread exception not handled (ntfs.sys)"

My computer is an MSI GT780dxr and it has an GeForce GTX 675M video card.
CPU: Intel i7-2670QM 2.2GHz
16GB RAM
Windows 10 64bit

Let me know if any more information would be helpful, hoping the community can help me solve this.
Apologies in advance if there is a solution somewhere and I simply overlooked it.

*update 1*
The computer doesn't restart 'randomly' anymore, so it appears the video card problem no longer exists. However, it does reboot when one attempts to interact with System Restore in any way, as well as Windows Installer (I tried to uninstall a program which opened Windows Installer).

*update 2*
I thought perhaps trying up install the latest update might help with the Windows Installer crashes. However, it crashed during that process...

*update 3*
The BSOD no longer happens during normal computer use. However, if I leave it and goes to lower power (not hibernation), it invariably crashes (BSOD, same error). Also, if I attempt to shut down normally, it will BSOD in the process...

Hello Jaheth

Generally, the error is related to the graphics driver which may be either corrupted or obsolete. However, as you mentioned you already tried uninstalling and re-installing the driver which I assume is the latest one, would you please give an older version of the driver a try?

Also, I was wondering if you already tried removing the graphics driver and booting the computer using the standard one and see if the problem still occurs?

If Windows 10 doesn't allow you to restore to an earlier time in normal mode, you can try Booting in Safe Mode and then Performing the System Restore.

If none of the suggestions works, as a last resort, you can Reset Your PC to Factory Settings, of course without removing your personal files.

Feel free to report back for any further assistance.

Cheers!! :)

Thank you for the fast reply!
Actually, I'm sure the graphics driver was a part of the problem. However, since I've reset it, the restarts don't seem to be as random (for example, I've currently had the computer up and running for 10 minutes, connected to the internet, with the driver correctly installed, which was impossible before). However, now it reliably crashes when I attempt to even check on available restore points. This occurs in both safe and normal boot modes (and variations of safe mode).

For further information, my computer did crash with the automatically installed display driver.

Methods I'm holding in reserve till the last minute include reverting to Windows 8 and formatting / reverting to factory defaults.

Shall continue to update, and if anyone else has suggestions, I would love to hear them!
