sk1939 :
What is your operating system, and what kind of network drive? What is on that drive?
Thank you for your time...
Operating System: XP Profressional - SP3 - All Windows updates are up to date.
I am an Independant Consultant, Networked Drives are spread accross several of my client's sites. They Vary from Seagate SAN devices, Windows 7, XP, Server 2003, Server 2008, etc. I bring the Dell Latitude 810 lap top with me from site to site.
Anytime I attempt to remove a single drive... Blue Screen.
The only way I can disconect the drives, is to manually remove the entries from the Registry and reboot. After I reboot the Network Drive is removed.
However, what I did not mention before is my machine ALWAYS Blue Screens on a Restart or Shutdown, as well, (even if I don't attempt to remove a network drive).
As I mentioned before, I have attempted to fix this with several highly rated Driver repair tools. I have used the Windows Utility "SFS /Scannow" with an XP Professional SP3 installation disk, "repairing" the Operating System option on a re-install did not work either. The only thing I have not tried is a Bare Metal strip down and complete reinstall of the Operating System.
No problem what so ever, when I want to Connect a Network Drive.
What is very frustating for me is that I am not a novice at this, I make a living fixing other peoples Network & Hardware issues, for over 20 Years.
Thank you very much for your time and effort in this matter.
