[SOLVED] Blue Screen When Starting Webcam

Hello,

When I try to turn on my built-in webcam I get a blue screen with "kernal_security_check_failure" on Windows 10. Any ideas what is causing this and how do I fix this problem?

Can you follow option one on the following link - here - and then do this step below: Small memory dumps - Have Windows Create a Small Memory Dump (Minidump) on BSOD - that creates a file in c windows/minidump after the next BSOD

copy that file to documents

upload the copy from documents to a file sharing web site, and share the link in your thread so we can help fix the problem

SMI AVStream Camera driver

Based on the Hardware Ids there does not appear to be a specific driver for the camera available from Windows update.

Can you try using just the Windows generic driver.

To do that uninstall any driver/software for the camera using "Uninstall or change a program" (and do not reinstall).

Restart the computer.
