hello!since yesterday i had 5-6 blue screens. and a friend told me to look for dump files but there are not any in the minidump folder.
Any suggestions?

And in the reliability history it says
the windows shut down was unexpected.only that

It could be a million things possible for BSODs. Check your RAM: http://www.memtest.org/

Check HDD for errors : sfc /scannow

Update all drivers.

Scan for viruses on HDD.

Please post your system specs.

One more thing can you get into safe-mode without crashing that heavily. If so than there could be drivers issue.

Which one i dowload of these? source code or prebuilt ?
How i check HDD for errors?
drivers are updated i think...

i have 1600 mhz 2x4gb corsair vengeance ram,
gigabyte 7870 ghz edition
amd fx 6300 3.5ghz
gigabyte GA-970A-UD3
corsair builder 600w
WD 500g caviar blue

Windows 7 64 bit

Download this "Download - Auto-installer for USB Key (Win 9x/2k/xp/7) *NEW!*" by going to the site. You need a pen drive to make it work. Just double click the installer and follow the instructions.

HDD check: press windows key(keyboard) + R , in the resulting window type CMD, in there type sfc /scannow . It may ask for windows CD/DVD.

i did the HDD check as you instructed but it was everything ok. Well i've done some disk checks and registry checks in advanced system care.. I dont know if actually do something, but since then I havent got any blue screens.

I will download the program now :)

Hi, have you checked and verified that the proper timings and voltages are set in the Bios for your memory?

I said to have your RAM checked, did you do it. http://www.memtest.org/ (see the previous post)

Worst case scenario you could have a bad memory controller on your cpu.
Had the exact same random bsod's on my client's 860 for a month of frustation.
Rma'd the processor and no issues since. AMD CPU's are known to have bad memory controllers.

You mean RAM test ? Follow my previous post, you just need a pen drive(empty). Or follow this :

http://forum.canardpc.com/threads/39168-Windows-HOWTO-Boot-Memtest-on-USB-Drive

http://www.pendrivelinux.com/testing-your-system-for-usb-boot-compatibility/

See the results if you get only one error upon testing replace the RAM. If you have 2/3 RAM sticks test it separately to ensure which one is bad. First do it than we can think about the CPU.

RMA means "Return Merchandise Authorization". In simple terms, if you have the warranty left in your product(CPU) than return it to manufacturer to replace it.

good morning. I just entered the BIOS and found out that the "DRAM E.O.C.P" was set to DDR1333. I set it to DDR1600.
Then the "Dram Voltage Control" was at 1600 volt. I set it to 1500.
You may think why i did that. First of all my memories are 1600mhz.I had an issue when i first bought this PC, because i built it myself.
And it was shutting down all the time. And a guy told me to enter those settings in BIOS 9-9-9-24, DDR1600, (im not quite sure about the 1500Volt though, but i just read it on another's post and Gigabyte told him to do so).

Anyway maybe u have any idea why the values were changed?
I will now wait for blue screens. If any..

just got another bluescreen "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL". I looked it up a little, tried to read my minidump files. And found this
"Rt64win7.sys"
.It couldnt read the dumpfile though, it required some symbols. idont know. I looked up for Rt64win7.sys and it was the realtek ethernet controller.
I updated those drivers.. Who knows whats next 😛

Good evening, look as far as I know RAM freq. are controlled automatically by MB's firmware. So MB will handle this without you doing a thing. I think if it was set to DDR1333 than either your MB or the CPU can't handle past this freq. Though every MB is different so its hard to tell that you did right or wrong. An example : i7 950 3.07GHz CPU cant handle DDR3 1333 (can only handle 800/1066). So you will see the RAM in BIOS is 1066 instead of 1333 no matter what the MB is capable off.

Every DDR3 RAM works on 1.5V. So I think you did the right thing. And also I don't know why it was set to 1.6V.

9-9-9- is the timing of RAM and "24" is tRAS (cycle time).

yeah back when i bought the pc and it was randomly shutting down, it was because the settings were not set properly. (Because i built it myself for the first time and had no idea).
And then used the numbers u mentioned (9-9-9-24), and the shut downs stopped :)
The numbers have remained the same, only the voltage was changed (1600V) but i dont know.
Anyway thanks for your help again.
Oh by the way i forgot to mention that my PC gets the blue screens after 20-30 mins of gaming only.
And its really hot in the room.

hello i somehow managed to read some dump files.
And it was saying about NDIS.sys
I read on the internet its about the network adapter or something.
Some months ago i was hearing some beeps, and then it couldnt connect to the internet. It was like the ethernet was unplugged (you knot that little symbol No internet access on the right bottom)
Maybe it was damaged or something?
I installed the latest drivers but still i get blue screens. damn i dont know what to do 🙁(

The latets BSOD dump files i got , say these :

Caysed by driver :
a) ndis.sys
b) ntoskrnl.exe
c) usbohci.sys
d) serial.sys
e) RtNdPt60.sys

All those drivers faulty? Maybe a virus ? I ran some antimalware programs but nothing
