Blue scren of death

i have 2 problems. I have intermittent stalls on the windows during boot up and it takes forever to boot up the computer after trying multiple times.

the 2nd problem is that all of a sudden i get an irq-not less than equal error with a blue screen and the computer dies on me.

i have tried updating the bios, the drivers, and ran chkdsk . I have also doubled the RAM thinking it could be a memory issue but nothing is helping. What else am i missing? why does this happen all of a sudden to a computer that was working fine?

go to device manager and check that there's no identified faults.
can you post all the info provided in the BSoD? if it gives you a specific IRQ number you can look up what that IRQ is serving on your system and go from there.

ok i will look into that. the last two times i have had the irq error it went from giving me some number to irq error not less than or equal to zero and there were no numbers. this happened after i updated drivers that were out of date.

You might want to look in event viewer and see what it has to report also
